I used Tagger and was loving it so much until it corrupted my mp3s. Now l cannot play two hundred songs that l painstakingly downloaded and scrubbed from YouTube and other sources. I was using MusicBrainz but had a problem with removing tags. Has anyone else had their mp3s corrupted by this? I tried using repair mp3 programs with no luck.

I was lured in by the inclusion in the description of "Artwork editing", but it seems it is more cutting and pasting than anything that would qualify as editing. What I need to do is make sure that all the artwork jpegs are less than 500x500, but I have yet to find a utility that will do this for me. Anyone have any ideas? Otherwise this app looks OK for what it does actually do, and you really can't argue with free!

I'd love to give this software a whirl, but it can't access any files not on the main system drive. I have 2 drives in my iMac, and all my media is on my larger "media" drive. Tagger will only show my main SSD that I boot off of.

I'm still looking for the "auto-tagging" part. To me that would be using the content from an existing tag or user input and conducting a search in order to get complete tag data including art. This doesn't seem to be the aim of Tagger. It does have great functions for affecting tags, but these aren't more powerful than my handful of Applescripts I've collected since a long time. I tried the 1.7beta too. The developer is responsive and genuine, but I think the presentation of the features must be more to the point to not set the wrong expectations.

Any chance of incorporating an "Identified Developer" ID from Apple? It's possible to get one without offering the app in the App Store…
